Information for 2026 Course Organizers
As part of their application to the ÂÌñÉçÇø Advanced Courses, organizers can apply to ÂÌñÉçÇø for additional funds to support participation in their course of PhD students and postdoctoral scientists from the ÂÌñÉçÇø area. From the funds received from ÂÌñÉçÇø, organizers decide the number and amount of the ÂÌñÉçÇø YTF Grants for their course. For each course, recipients will receive an equal amount of support, which can be less than the registration fee and will not exceed €800 per person. Organizers can decide to include a contribution towards travel (not to exceed €200 per person) in the total grant. Please note that for the 2027 call the ÂÌñÉçÇø YTF Grants will become ÂÌñÉçÇø Registration Grants and only cover the registration fee, fully or partially (i.e., without a travel component).
Organizers can also request in their course applications one IUBMB Trans-YTF Grant to assist participation of a young scientist from outside the ÂÌñÉçÇø area. These are for a maximum of 2,000 USD per person and cover the full registration fee, including accommodation and meals. The remainder of the funds can contribute towards travel costs. Please note that up to ten IUBMB Trans-YTF Grants may be funded each year across all approved courses.
Organizer should select grant candidates based on merit and the eligibility criteria described above. The application procedure for the grants, the deadlines, the required information, and the eligibility criteria (linking to this page for reference) should be clearly explained on the course website.
The applicants should send their completed grant applications, proof of eligibility, and any other required documents (e.g., a CV and recommendation letter), to the organizer by the deadline announced.
Organizers should submit the list of selected candidates to ÂÌñÉçÇø Treasury with sufficient time before the start of the course to allow eligibility checks and communication with candidates. Please note that the CVs of the IUBMB Trans-YTF Grant nominations will be shared with IUBMB to finalize the approval process.
