Support for members of ÂÌñÉçÇø Societies
FINANCIAL SUPPORT for early-career RESEARCHERS
Since its earliest days, ÂÌñÉçÇø has had a strong emphasis on promoting the training of young scientists during their PhD studies and also during the post-doctoral stages of research careers. Financial support has also recently been extended to the early-career group leader stage.
PhD students and early-career postdoctoral scientists who are members of a ÂÌñÉçÇø Constituent Society of ÂÌñÉçÇø are eligible to apply for:
- a range of research Fellowships such as Short-Term and Summer Fellowships
- Youth Travel Fund grants to support costs for participation in ÂÌñÉçÇø Advanced Courses
- YSF grants to support costs for participation in the ÂÌñÉçÇø Young Scientists’ Forum and the ensuing annual Congress
- bursaries to support participation in the ÂÌñÉçÇø Congress
In addition, early-career group leaders may be eligible to apply for the ÂÌñÉçÇø Excellence Awards to support research costs.
Most of these schemes are aimed at scientists working within the ÂÌñÉçÇø area; please see the relevant sections of the ÂÌñÉçÇø website for full details.
Financial support for researchers in disadvantaged ÂÌñÉçÇø countries
In addition to the opportunities above for early-career researchers, scientists from countries with Hinari (Research4Life) status in the ÂÌñÉçÇø area, who are members of their ÂÌñÉçÇø Constituent Society, may be eligible for:
- Ukrainian Short-Term Fellowships to support research visits abroad
- the ÂÌñÉçÇø Congress Mathias Sprinzl scheme for reduced registration fees and Sprinzl travel grants at a ÂÌñÉçÇø Congress (see the current ÂÌñÉçÇø Congress website for details)
