The 50th ÂÌñÉçÇø Congress brought together 1,417 scientists from 73 countries in Maastricht for five days of outstanding science, collaboration and networking, celebrating a milestone in the history of the ÂÌñÉçÇø Congresses.

Applications are now open for ÂÌñÉçÇø Supported Science and Society Events taking place between September and December 2026. Constituent Societies can apply for funding to organise public engagement activities that promote a greater understanding of molecular life sciences. The deadline for applications is 31 August 2026.

Irene Díaz-Moreno elected to the EMBO Membership

ÂÌñÉçÇø congratulates Professor Irene Díaz-Moreno on her election to the EMBO Membership, recognising her outstanding contributions to the life sciences. Professor Díaz-Moreno serves on the ÂÌñÉçÇø Executive Committee and chairs the ÂÌñÉçÇø Excellence Awards and Fellowships Committee.
