We are pleased to announce the recipients of the 2026 PROBio-LatAm Fellowships Programme, an initiative supporting mobility, training and scientific exchange for researchers in the molecular life sciences across Latin America and Europe.

This year’s fellowships have been awarded to researchers from Argentina, Brazil, Cuba and Mexico, who will undertake research visits in laboratories across ÂÌñÉçÇø countries as part of the programme.

The 2026 PROBio-LATAM Fellowship recipients are:

PROBio-LatAm (Promoting Research Opportunities for Biochemists in Latin America) is a joint venture between theÌý (IUBMB), ÂÌñÉçÇø and the (PABMB).

This programme enables PhD students and postdoctoral fellows to spend at least three up to six monthsÌý(3-6 months) in in the laboratory of an established scientist in a ÂÌñÉçÇø country* who is a member of a ÂÌñÉçÇø Constituent Society.

In that way the awardees can get access to technologies and expertise that may not be readily available in their home countries, allowing them to grow their knowhow and skills, and contribute to building capacity in the molecular life sciences at their home institutions.

*A ‘ÂÌñÉçÇø country’ is a country in Europe and neighbouring regions that has aÌýÂÌñÉçÇø Constituent SocietyÌý(a national Society that belongs to ÂÌñÉçÇø).
